A weaver and a foot washer
On our recent field trip to Otavalo, Dan tried his hand at weaving. He did a few good rows and impressed those who were watching.
Carolyn impressed us with the amount of mud she managed to get into her shoes. This resulted in a foot washing in a very cold stream!

Wow -- the months sure go by quickly when your goal is one post a month! The first weekend of February we headed to BaƱos. It was rather exciting to see Tungurahua "acting" on our way down. Carolyn was the official photographer during our stay and I love these two pictures that she took of the bathroom doors!
I guess I could have hired one of these 3 photographers since they didn't seem too busy.
But, I kinda like my girl's perspective and angle on things.

We're still around!
Don't worry -- we didn't fall off the face of the earth. We're still here, 2 miles south of the equator.
This is my favorite picture so far this year. (A not-so-good internet connection didn't let me post it yesterday, so I missed my goal of one post per month in 2010!)
This was taken by the Peguche waterfall -- a very pretty spot about 2 hours north of where we live.
