Spelling.....again

(Sigh....) Andy's subtle way of letting me know he was done with his schoolwork for the day, except maybe for spelling class. We'll work on that next week.

A new, but temporary, pet

The kids have been asking us for a pet baby duck, but someone brought this to our door Friday. He's actually a thank you gift for Dad Rogers, but since he's not here, we get him. I'm not sure that he will stick around for seven more weeks -- he's kinda noisy in the mornings.

Since I missed a post for July, I'll share some of my favorite pictures from last month.
My sister and the cutest baby girl came for a visit; Andy and Carolyn enjoyed someone else's pet duck, and Carolyn made sand angels at the beach -- that's what ya hafta do when you live where there is no snow!

After almost 8 years....

We have a house number!
However, that doesn't mean that mail will be delivered
to our door -- we'll still need to drive into Quito for that. But, it's still fun to have a number.

It's also fun to have puppies again.

Today we went to Nayon, the plant town. It really is a fun, colorful, happy place. Grandma Rogers got lots of big flower plants and we got lots of small ones and together we managed to fill the pickup. Our front steps are looking a lot more springy now that each one has its own pot of flowers.

An MK came for a visit this week and showed Andy how to make Lego movies.
So, here's Andy's first movie. Enjoy and look for more to come!

Fun Things

There are so many fun pictures of our time in the US, but I won't make you look at all of them right now. Here are just a few of my favorites.

The most fun thing by far was
meeting my new niece, Elle Nichole!

Carolyn liked her a lot too.

We saw (and played in) a lot of snow.
